Matt’s message Sunday was about the true gospel of Christ, that is, a gospel that is good, glad, merry news that makes someone want to leap for joy.  “Gospel” is from the Greek word “euangelion” and is the source of the term “evangelist” in English.  He also taught the law is about what we aren’t supposed to do and the gospel is a story of what’s been done & now we get to do.  Proclaim “as He is, so am I.”  References:  John 14:12, John 15:4, 1 John 4:17.  Listen & be blessed!

Matt expounds on Steve Thompson’s message from last week.  He teaches us about the authority we have as sons and daughters of God.  Psalms 115 says “The heaven of the heavens is the Lords, but the earth He has given to the sons of men.”  It’s our responsibility to make it (the earth) the best we can as we pray “His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.”  One way we bring His Kingdom to earth is to walk by faith and step out to do great expoits just as He did.  Just like sons and daughters want to DO what they see their earthly daddy do (not just watch), it is imparted within us to want to DO as our heavenly Father does.    Matt explains that it’s not up to God just to “fix everything”, because as Steve taught last week, He is not in control of everything here on earth.  He needs us to help perform His will, like He needed Jesus to perform His will (Romans 8:19 - creation is eagerly waiting for the manifestations of the sons of God).  God walked with Adam and helped him in the garden, and the Holy Spirit is here to help us do what He does.  Listen & be blessed!
